Practicing the Way of Jesus
John 15;4-5 Be with Jesus. Become Like Jesus. Do what Jesus did. We may ask ourselves 'who or what is forming me'? And if the answer is Jesus, then may we pattern and organize the practices and rhythms of our life around the threefold goal of being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. With these rhythms comes grace, and we start to look increasingly more like our Rabbi, our savior Jesus. Remaining in Jesus as he remains in us. |

Isaiah 35
God is going to bring new beauty, life, passion and perspective to those who feel spiritually dry, stagnant, indifferent and apathetic. Isaiah paints this picture beautifully. Dry land & the desert will be full of abundance, gladness, & joy. Those with weak hands & feeble knees will have strong hands & firm knees. Those with anxious hearts will be made strong & fearless The eyes of the blind will be opened The ears of the deaf will be unstopped The person who is lame will leap like a deer The person who is mute will sing for joy The wilderness will have streams break forth The burning sand will have pools & springs of water Dry & thirsty ground will be covered with green grass Sorrow & sighing shall be replaced w/ gladness & joy |
