New to Laurel Church?

We are so excited to come alongside you and help you get connected here!
Being a part of community is a game changer because we believe that following Jesus and navigating through life and faith is better together. Here are a few things to expect during your visit:

Sunday Format

On a typical Sunday we meet from 10-11:15am. Our gathering includes worship music (mostly contemporary with the occasional old hymn), a Biblical & Christ-centered teaching, open communion, and prayer.

Atmosphere

Laurel is friendly, laid back & welcoming to all so whether you want to dress it up or keep it casual, we're just excited to see you! And be sure to stop by our coffee station on your way in!

Childcare

Our "Kids Town" ministry currently serves ages infant through 5th grade during our Sunday gathering. We have 2 nursery rooms, a preschool room, & a K-5th grade room. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to church to meet our leaders and get your kids checked in (just inside the front doors).

Meet the Welcome Team
A great place to get to know someone in the church is at the Welcome Booth. Someone from the Welcome Team will not only be excited to meet you, but can also answer any questions you may have and provide helpful information.

Join a Laurel Group
Our groups are currently going through a church-wide guide, based on Sunday teachings, on how to: be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. All groups have the goals of connecting, encouraging, and equipping the church family as well as to intentionally serve the community around us. Contact us to sign up for a connect group today! Click here for more info
Opportunity for Baptism
Though traditions vary, we believe that baptism is an important step of faith and obedience. Baptism symbolizes our union with Jesus in his death and resurrection. There are no prerequisites for baptism for it is by grace through faith that we are saved! So email the church at lc@laurelchurch.us to talk with the pastor about this opportunity!

Mentorship
Discipleship takes many forms at Laurel, but one great way to have support in your walk with Christ is to meet with a mentor. Email the church in order to fill out a questionnaire and we’ll send you recommendations from within the church community. Mentoring can be 1:1 or in groups consisting of 3-4 people, and mentors/mentees meet on a regular basis that works for their schedules.
